After 5: Empowering Ourselves (and One Another) by Reclaiming a Sensual-Based Feminism
June 6 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm$15 - $20
Two steps forward; two steps back. That’s our story as working women, often as wives, certainly as leaders; as policy influencers…
Why? Because a reservoir of unique (and signature) power has been taught out of us. It’s a power that’s vulnerable, courageous and distinctly feminine. That power is our sensuality.
Meagan Murphy has worked in film and broadcast for 20+ years, including twelve years with PBS/WGBY, where she produced programs across a variety of genres, including documentary, health and public affairs. Meagan was recognized by Time, Inc. for her work in health & medical programming in 2000, received a Medical Journalism Fellowship from BC/BS in 2003, and earned a Communicator’s Award in 2008. Her film repertoire includes Night Deposit, Fathers & Sons, and Victor’s Big Score. After completing a 2-year program on women’s spirituality and training as a girls’ mentor, Meagan launched Deliberate Healing Productions in 2012 to explore the culture’s influence on women’s health.
