Our guest speaker Karen Damon Carswell

Karen is the Vice President of Business Development at MassDevelopment. MassDevelopment is the state’s finance agency and land bank that works with municipalities, businesses, nonprofits, financial institutions, and communities to stimulate economic growth across the Commonwealth. Karen works to promote and advance the programs and services offered by the Agency by connecting potential borrowers or grantees to the programs and services that can help their project move forward. Prior to joining MassDevelopment, Karen was a management consultant where she worked with area businesses, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits to improve their operational and workforce goals and objectives. Karen has an MBA from the University of Massachusetts - Isenberg School of Management and an MA in Sustainable Development from the SIT Graduate Institute after graduating from Union College with a BA in Spanish.
